Crystal and Truman Cooper opened Cinnamon Creme Bakery in 2017 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Although their brick and mortar has only been in existence for a few years, their family recipes have been around for generations. Our experience at Cinnamon Creme Bakery was very positive. Their staff was very helpful and polite and happily offered up suggestions. The bakery is bright and clean. They have a very large selection that gives even the pickiest of cheaters plenty of options.

Appearance

The Apple Fritter is huge. It’s fried to golden-brown perfection and shines from the thick layer of glaze. The shape is asymmetrical with mounds of dough ruffling the edges and pieces of apple scattered throughout.

Touch

The fritter is firm to touch but with a little pressure it folds like a lawn chair. The glaze coats the entire fritter and leaves a little goodness on your fingers.

Smell

The aroma is that of a freshly fried doughnut or funnel cake at the state fair. It’s sweet with the smell of fried dough that is very nostalgic.

Taste

The first bite is like a sweet glazed doughnut but much thicker and robust. The fried dough tears away nicely and the glaze melts in your mouth. The apple is subtle but present. The texture is chewy with a nice pull of the dough in every bite. Overall, Cinnamon Creme Bakery’s Apple Fritter has nice texture with a very enjoyable sweet-glaze flavor.
