Review:
If you’re looking to add more weight while doing bodyweight exercises such as dips and pull-ups, then you need to purchase a dip belt. One of the biggest principles of any workout program is the Principle of Progressive Overload. If you want to progress, then you must load with a greater amount than was already encountered. This principle is the reason that people plateau in their gains over time. It becomes more and more difficult to stress the body to a point where it has not been stressed before. This is where tools such as a dip belt come into play. With the Harbinger Dip Belt you have a durable and comfortable way to add external weight to your exercises and keep taking your results to the next level.
Dip belts have been around for a long time and Harbinger is one of the most popular options. Dip belts only have one real purpose so when reviewing them you have to look at a few main things: comfort, quality and durability.
Comfort:
We liked the Harbinger Dip Belt from a comfort prospective. It fits nice around your waste and maintains the comfort when the weight is added.
Quality:
The Harbinger belt is made well but not as nice as ones we’ve used in the past. The padding is fine and performs well. With dip belts, sometimes it’s about preference and we prefer wider belts with a little more padding. That being said, the belt is comfortable … we just like the wider belts a little more. The chain is durable and what you would expect, but it’s a little shorter than we like. The Harbinger belt has a 30″ chain. We prefer chains in the range of 34 or 36 inches to give your groin some space. Look, we are all about cheating — on your diet — but maybe not with a dip belt.
Durability:
After about six months of use, the belt has held up great. We have used Harbinger belts in the past at commercial gyms and they have always held up well to excessive use. We are fully confident in their durability.
All that being said, we like the Harbinger Dip Belts, as you get what you expect. We just wish the chain was longer.

What people are saying
What they like:
“It’s comfortable and durable. A must-have tool if you’re trying to build strength.”
What they don’t like:
“The chain is a little short. Wish it was longer.”
Conclusion
The Harbinger Dip Belt is a great option for adding weight for pull-ups and dips. It’s comfortable and does the job it’s suppose to do. We would like the belt to be a bit longer but all in all there aren’t any complaints. We think it would be a great addition to your workout program.
