| Tipsy Scoop | Melissa Tavss' idea of liquor-infused ice cream was created while making ice cream in her kitchen. After operating as a catering company in East Harlem, Tavss opened her first brick and mortar in Kips Bay after an increase in demand for her product. Tipsy Scoop's ice cream barlor is bar theme inside an ice cream store. They have 14 classic flavors including Chocolate Stout and Pretzel, Maple Bacon Bourbon, Cake Batter Vodka Martini, Vanilla Bean Bourdon and Spiked Hazelnut Coffee. All their flavors are just under 5% ABV which is equaled to a light beer. They also offer happy hour and flavor flights where you can pick your choice of ice cream and number of flavors. |

Lyman, who worked for a mortgage company, and Schlader, an actor/bartender, now run 10 locations in New York. Their idea for Birch is to not over complicate things by serving too many drinks but rather to make great coffee and give customers a memorable experience. The cold brews, lattes, flat whites, cappuccinos are all good. They also carry baked goods from local bakeries. |
