Monday Lock In: Perspective

Monday Lock In: Perspective

Monday Lock In

Welcome to Monday Lock In. This is your weekly reset — a moment to recommit, refocus, and leave last week where it belongs. Past missteps don’t matter here, and past achievements don’t carry us forward forever. You don’t need perfect timing to start showing up. This week isn’t about fixing everything — it’s about starting and seeing how your life can change when you follow through.

Perspective is the difference between staying stuck and moving forward. Life doesn’t hand out clean weeks, perfect schedules, or ideal conditions. Waiting for things to line up is just another way of avoiding the work. Mindset isn’t positive thinking — it’s ownership. It’s accepting that things can be hard and deciding not to fold because of it. Progress belongs to the people who move anyway.

Story:

There was a girl who walked onto a massive stage carrying more weight than most people ever see. Her body was fighting something she didn’t choose. Her future wasn’t guaranteed. She didn’t pretend everything was fine or downplay how hard it was. But she also refused to let her circumstances excuse her from showing up, creating, and living fully. Standing there, she reminded millions that joy doesn’t wait for permission — it’s a decision made in the middle of the mess. You’ll always be presented with obstacles, but you have to be willing to see things differently. If you change the way you see things, the way you see things will change.

That girl was Nightbirde — a singer and songwriter who auditioned on America’s Got Talent with her original song “It’s OK.” Her message landed harder than the performance itself: you don’t wait for life to stop being hard before you decide to move forward. You can create as many excuses as you want — but you’re only limited by the ones you choose to believe.

It’s time to Lock It In.
